FAQ
Do you really have a rooster? Yes indeed we do. Nicholson Place greets each day with the raucous crowing of Orlando Plume, our handsome Barred Rock fella. The sound of his lady friends proudly announcing their egg laying achievements will also be part of the Nicholson Place soundtrack. You can discover the relaxing effect of watching our small flock go about their chicken business just across the backyard from your room and if you are lucky you may find some fresh eggs in the refrigerator!
Do I need to have a car? You can enjoy your stay at Nicholson Place without a car. Taxis and buses are readily available from the ferry terminal. You will be within 1.3 miles of the ferry terminal and even closer to grocery stores, shops, museums, galleries, theaters, restaurants, library, pool and several parks.
Can I bring my pet? We are not accepting animal guests at this time.
Where can I ride my bike? Where can't you ride you bike on Bainbridge Island! Nicholson Place is an ideal destination if you would like to travel by bike. Many guests choose to leave their car at home and simply ride onto the ferry. Helpful information about local bike routes are found on the tourism alliance site but do keep in mind we host the unofficial bike season opener, The Chilly Hilly for a reason -- we do have some challenging hills. More subtle inclines are found on the North/South routes or flat areas at Fort Ward Park.
